23 January 2017. Paco and I just arrived in the UK, intending to stay here for quite a while (how much “quite” and how much “while” nobody knows). At the airport we wait for V, a driver that our friends booked to bring us to their house, where we’re going to spend the first days in the city. V came from Naples (could it be otherwise?!) and has lived here for a few years, he likes London quite a lot and began to lists its pros. Leaving the airport he tells us of having started working as a gardener and then reinvent himself as a driver, a job he finds less strenuous and moresatisfactory. His girl has just reached him here, planning to obtain a driver licence as well and start working with Uber, an app that is thriving here, while in Italy found many opponents. They’re also looking for a new house but V reveals they are not going to stay here forever. They want to return to Naples.

23 gennaio 2017. Paco e io siamo arrivati in UK, intenzionati a restarci un bel po’ (quanto bel e quanto po’ nessuno lo sa), all’arrivo all’aeroporto ci aspetta V, un driver contattato dagli amici che ci ospiteranno per i primi giorni. V è di Napoli (come poteva essere altrimenti?!) e vive qui da qualche anno, trova Londra bellissima e ce ne elenca i pregi. Mentre lasciamo l’aeroporto ci racconta di aver cominciato a lavorare come giardiniere per poi reinventarsi autista, una professione che trova meno faticosa e più ricca di soddisfazioni. Lo ha da poco raggiunto la sua ragazza  per prendere anche lei la licenza da autista e lavorare con Uber, che qui, a differenza che in Italia, va alla grande. Stanno cercando casa, ma V ci svela che non hanno intenzione di rimanere qui per sempre. Vogliono tornare a Napoli.
